Welcome to the Graceville Community Garden

The Graceville Community Garden was established in May 2010 and celebrates its 10th birthday on May 31 this year. The garden means many things to many different people. Our gardeners come from many different backgrounds, are different ages and share differing views but the one thing they have in common is a love of gardening, learning, growing and sharing. Our garden is inclusive and welcoming to all and celebrating our 10th birthday is a testament to this ethos.

  So here were are in week 6? (or whatever it is) of corona lockdown and the community garden continues to thrive.

To paraphrase Peter Rabbit “a good gardener never gives up,” and we certainly haven’t.
That’s not to say that the Graceville Community Garden has been without its challenges in these most challenging of challenging times.

Is it the number of members, is it the amount of harvest produced, the exotic plants, or a combination of all of the above? Or is it something undefined, unrelated, and intangible but an important ingredient in the success of our local garden.
